This Freelance Translation Services Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into as of [Effective Date] between [Translator Name] ("Translator") and [Client Name] ("Client").
Translator will translate [Description of Materials] from [Source Language] into [Target Language], including [Number] rounds of proofreading/revision.
Client agrees to pay [Rate] per [word / hour / page], due within [Number] days of delivery. A minimum fee of [Amount] applies to jobs below [Word Count] words.
Translator will provide an accurate, complete translation to the best of their professional ability. If Client requires a certified translation for official/legal use, this must be specified in writing before work begins, as certification may involve additional requirements and fees.
Client will provide source materials in [Format]. Translator will retain source and translated materials for [Number] days after delivery for reference, after which they may be deleted unless Client requests otherwise.
Translator agrees to keep confidential all content of the source materials and any personal or business information contained in them, both during and after this Agreement, except as required to perform the Services.
Client may request revisions for accuracy within [Number] days of delivery at no additional charge. Changes to source material after translation has begun, or stylistic preference changes unrelated to accuracy, are billed at [Rate].
Translator is an independent contractor, not an employee of Client, and is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.
Each party’s total liability under this Agreement is limited to the total fees paid or payable. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.
