This Wedding Officiant Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into as of [Effective Date] between [Officiant Name] ("Officiant") and [Couple’s Names] ("Couple"), for a wedding ceremony on [Wedding Date] at [Venue], at [Time].
Officiant will [meet with Couple to plan the ceremony, prepare and deliver the ceremony script, and complete/file the marriage license] as required by [State / Jurisdiction] law.
Officiant and Couple will meet or communicate [Number] times before the wedding to plan the ceremony content, expected to run approximately [Duration].
Officiant will attend the wedding rehearsal on [Rehearsal Date/Time], if requested, [at no additional charge / for an additional fee of [Amount]].
Couple agrees to pay [Amount], with a deposit of [Amount] due upon signing and the balance due [Timing — e.g. by the wedding date].
Couple is responsible for obtaining the marriage license before the ceremony. Officiant will sign and file it as required by [State / Jurisdiction] after the ceremony.
If Officiant becomes unavailable due to an emergency, Officiant will make reasonable efforts to arrange a qualified substitute. Cancellations by Couple more than [Number] days before the wedding forfeit the deposit only.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of [State / Jurisdiction].
