Frequently asked questions

Yes — no sign-up, no fee, and no limit on how many clients or projects you use it for.

It's a more formal template than a basic freelance agreement, and two clauses need real attention: the non-solicitation restriction (how many months, and how broad the restricted activity is) and the indemnification/insurance clause — think through what insurance is actually reasonable for the work being performed before leaving that blank. The work-for-hire language is also worth understanding: it assigns IP to the company automatically where the law allows it, with a fallback assignment clause for anything that doesn't.

At minimum: a defined scope of work (with room for additional statements of work over time), a compensation structure and payment frequency, explicit independent-contractor status language, work-for-hire/IP assignment terms, who covers equipment and expenses, confidentiality obligations, and — unlike a simpler freelance agreement — non-solicitation and indemnification/insurance provisions, since this template is built for more formal or ongoing engagements.
