Social Media Management Agreement

1. Parties & Effective Date

This Social Media Management Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into as of [Effective Date] between [Manager Name] ("Manager") and [Client Name] ("Client").

2. Services

Manager will manage Client’s social media presence on [Platforms], including [Description of Services — e.g. content creation, posting schedule, community management], at a posting frequency of [Frequency].

3. Payment

Client agrees to pay a monthly retainer of [Amount], due on [Day] of each month. This Agreement covers [Number] hours/posts per month; additional work is billed at [Rate].

4. Platform Access

Client will grant Manager the access needed to post and manage content on the agreed platforms, ideally through each platform’s own delegated-access or business-manager feature rather than sharing personal login credentials. Access will be revoked upon termination of this Agreement.

5. Content Ownership & Approval

Upon payment, Client owns all content created specifically for its accounts under this Agreement. Manager will follow the approval process in [Attachment / Section reference] before publishing, unless the parties agree to a pre-approved content calendar requiring no per-post sign-off.

6. Advertising Spend

Manager will not commit Client to any paid advertising spend without Client’s prior written authorization for the specific budget and campaign. Any ad accounts and payment methods remain in Client’s name and control.

7. Reporting

Manager will provide a performance report covering [Metrics] on a [Frequency] basis.

8. Independent Contractor Relationship

Manager is an independent contractor, not an employee of Client, and is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.
